I joined Intermittent Fasting because I gained some tummy fat in middle age. Being a slim, petite woman who never needed to diet or be careful about what I ate, this weight gain was a shock. 
All the fantastic information and advice from Ronan, taught me to become aware of what I eat and the time frame I eat in. 
I lost 2.2kg and my body fat reduced from 39.8% (obese)to 29.8%.
Incredible results considering that I didn’t manage to fast for 16h for one week because I had to take pain killers with food. I also ate occasional treats like chocolate/ ice cream. I was never hungry or deprived of food that I like during the 28 days. It was a gradual shift in the diet. 
I have continued fasting for 16h wherever this is possible. I have naturally become aware of what food I eat and conscious about whether I’m getting enough protein and fibre. I only drink decaf tea and coffee, however I no longer crave these. My cravings for chocolate have drastically reduced and I have a lot more willpower with regards to food. I’m consciously choosing what I will eat and when I will eat it.
