7 Days To Breaking Up With Sugar

"Taking this class now is allowing me to revisit this relationship with food, sugar, etc"

So, I was very good for a long while about resisting sugar, eating well, exercising regularly, when I lived in the US. I even did some (expensive) cleanses to detoxify and clear my gut.

Well, 4 years ago I moved to another country. The weather is extremely challenging. I am now in a tropical, humid, rainy, climate. I started a PhD program and have been going through an entire diet challenge.

My first year here I was mostly vegetarian. I didn't look well or feel well. But the only once-in-awhile foods I would allow was ice cream or an occasional pastry. I told myself because I was not a big sweets person all these years previous that I was allowed this now to help get through the stress, unfamiliarity with the changes in my life, and to cope with deadlines.

Taking this class now is allowing me to revisit this relationship with food, sugar, etc with a renewed perspective on how to take care of myself in this (still) physically, emotionally, psychologically, (and nutritionally) challenged and challenging environment.

The program 7 Days To Breaking Up With Sugar started quite well for me. I started observing the first couple of days what I am eating. Then I followed the two days with fruits in the morning before anything. I usually like to have black coffee (no sugar) in the morning for breakfast an...
