"I am holding strong"
I loved my mother’s cooking and baking. Biscuits I would eat with any meal; dinner rolls were special. Four children, I’m the youngest. Each of us had a favorite pie, mine was pecan pie, my sister sweet potato pie, my oldest brother mincemeat pie and my other brother, lemon meringue pie. We made our own candy from orange peels or peanut brittle. Sugar is in my system and created the girth I had until I made the decision to have a tummy tuck. Last year all the work I did to keep looking good went out the window so I have to start again, without surgery. I joined this Quest to help me get over SUGAR. So far I’m good; a little slip because I didn’t read the label (bread) and a sip of Coconut Pineapple drink. I feel okay. I am somewhat lazy, not inspired to get up, go out in the rain to the gym (just got my hair professionally done after 16 months). Just bought lots of different fruits for smoothies and snacking; not realizing I wouldn’t be able to eat fruit for three days straight. But I am holding strong. No shakes, no tantrums, no ice cream. Tomorrow is my seventh day and I do wish to succeed in controlling my binges. Thank you
