I recovered enough to get back to day to day life, but had lost so much strength, I was no longer able to rock climb. This was hard for me physically, mentally, and emotionally because I've been a rock climber for over 25 years and that is what had been keeping me in shape.
Once I could no longer climb, I was seeing my body change quickly. I had lost a lot of strength, balance, and endurance, this was challenging for an older, aging athlete.
After completing the course, I was able to get back into a successful routine that has helped me rebuild my strength. I'm not only motivated to workout twice a week again, but I'm also learning to coach other aging athletes who need help getting back into the game.
