"I am here to rectify my sleep pattern, duration, quality, and thereby enhance the quality of every other area of my life"

This is my 1st day of The Mastery of Sleep Quest. As an architecture student, I learned to sleep very less. That was 25 years ago, yet that pattern (and the mental glorification of it) has stayed on. It's like I pride myself on sleeping less. But I sense that it has taken a toll on my memory, learning ability, health, decision-making etc. I tend to be all over the place. Since otherwise, my life is going fine, I think I do not associate lack of sleep as a cause of any re-alignment. Yet deep within I know that I could become much more productive and jubilant if I get a good night's quality sleep. I have been sleeping very less and at odd hours and odd durations, in spite of knowing that I shouldn't. (The only good thing, I supose, is that I usually sleep without putting an alarm, so I tend to recovery my sleep time.) Yet many times there is a lecture or meeting in the morning for which I have to chop my sleep with an alarm. My routine is wonky and invariably, late in the night, I chance upon some new idea / video etc which keeps me going on because I feel certain things need to be done before sleeping. I am not sure if I have too many things at hand or I am mismanaging my waking day (It's most likely to be the latter).

I am here to rectify my sleep pattern, duration, quality, and thereby enhance the quality of every other area of my life.
