Having had a very responsible and demanding job as the head of a nephrology service at a well-known children’s hospital to now being at home as a mother of 3 children... I only realized how stressed I was when I left my job for medical reasons. 
Now my stressors are still there but different. I now have time to do some self-care, hopefully, get back to some form of work I. The new future.
