"It has provided me with a new look at life"

I am thankful that meditation has brought Mindvalley and the Holobody Certification Course on my journey on August 2022. It has provided me with a new look at life and an appreciation for my body and overall health. It has given me so many tools and resources that will serve me and those in my community. 

I am extremely thankful for the Mindvalley community that I have met during this certification course because they made me believe in myself and what I am truly capable of. I am no longer the same person when I first got started. I welcome challenges and am confident sharing what I've learned and experienced.

I have been working on my health since 2013. When my 2nd child was born, I reached the peak where I was no longer comfortable in my own body. In order for me to be part of my family's lives, I needed to work take a hard look at my lifestyle and take action.

I took various recommendations from Doctors, family, and friends and I've turned things around from 2013 to 2019. I've gone from 216 lbs to 152 lbs during that time and started running in various races like 4 Full Marathons. Though I was enjoying life more and creating more memories with family and my new running community, it wasn't sustainable as I was now going through the motions and started YO-YOing during that time.

The Pandemic hit and it truly tested my mental health which I thought was strong but realized how fragile it was. Social routines were broken and accountability was not present anymore. I got laid off and also had periods of time when I couldn't work due to COVID and a major running injury in the Summer of 2020. With that said, I was in a very bad place once again and ended up gaining up to 200 lbs and was prescribed Blood pressure and Cholesterol medication in 2021. 

I had to go back to basics and started with one habit every 3 months from Oct to Dec 2021. From there, I turned things around and slowly regained my health, confidence, and life. I've developed and retained habits like gut health, intermittent fasting, eating healthier again, and staying active. 

I am very thankful that I re-introduced meditation back into my life and it has been the main reason how I found out about Mindvalley in July 2022 and began my journey and transformation. 

I personally thank Vishen, Ajit, Ronan, and the wonderful Coaches and Teachers of Mindvalley for putting this together, and looking forward to living my life with my very first purpose and that is with my family.
