When I started four months ago, I was excited, anticipating some new learning and a fresh approach to health and wellness that I could benefit from personally and also share. My hope was that I would have a framework to help me coach others in their wellness journey, and that it would be something that could help me get my coaching business off the ground. 
It was the right time for me to move forward. I was on leave, so had time to study. I was close to retirement and wanting to branch out into coaching part time once I retired. It was a transition time. Coincidentally (or not coincidentally – thank you universe) I met someone similarly passionate about health and wellness who encouraged me to go for it.
I absolutely fell in love with Ronan’s approach to coaching. It is so real, authentic, down to earth and “do-able”. There is love, positivity, encouragement, no judgement, a wealth of expertise and knowledge and practical steps to take. I found the spreadsheet of Holobody Training Templates very useful. A great resource for a design-for-yourself training program, and I can see it will also be wonderful for clients to use to create an exercise routine that works for them. It took me out of the space of thinking I need to be an expert in physical training in order to coach. 
I found the racing mode a bit of a challenge. Fitting extra workout sessions (and longer, more challenging sessions) into each week was difficult. It was a lot to keep up with, and I started to falter and feel a bit overwhelmed at this point. I found some support and encouragement from the Holobody community and reassured myself 80% was good enough, that I can return and repeat the racing mode to get better at it. I was delighted that I pushed through and managed to do far more in my workouts than I had anticipated. I learned how to train hard without burning out. This was a real mental game-changer for me.
Now I am in a great place mentally and physically. I am looking forward to sharing the Holobody journey with clients and seeing their transformation.

 • What would you say to yourself if you could speak to your younger self from 4 months ago?

 Just do it. You are good enough. You don’t have to be perfect in order to start. In fact the journey with your body is never-ending. It is a prayer, a song that is never finished. You are always evolving, and the journey is wonderful. So enjoy it.
