Before joining 10x I hated going to the gym. For me, GYM was something that had its glorious era on Athenas, +2500 years ago. I hated the repetition, the mirrors for egocentric people and the sweat accumulated in the machines. However, I had always been an athlete. Since I’m 6 years old I’ve practiced sports. I grew up playing basketball in my small town and then, when I went to a city for studied on college, I discovered Ultimate Frisbee.
I used to play Ultimate frisbee since 2018 till 2021, when I got injured. Playing a tournament, I jumped bad and I fell really bad trying to stop a goal from the other team. I broke my ACL (anterior cruciate Ligament), and it was the painful thing I’ve ever experienced (after He broke my heart of course 😂). I started a long recovery, went through a surgery, and started the physiotherapy. One day, Julian, my physiotherapist, told me the inevitable: for recovering my muscular mass and my strength I had to do strength training at Gym. Worst message ever for me. But my new Goggins mindset after the injury was stronger than my hate for the gym.
So I started going to the gym on June, just for doing 3 machines for legs. Just the minimum for complement my recovery. No less, no more. Just the minimum required.
On July I attended Mindvalley University, I listened Ronan and Lorenzo talking about fitness and strength training. I can relate that they are the best speakers because when I returned to Colombia, I decided to join 10x and finally going to the gym. Best decision ever. I went from 19,5 KG mass to 21,2 KG in just 3 months and half (I took a little longer because I had to switch between physiotherapy and 10x routines).
Now I have started a journey full of strength, mindset shifting and nurturing my body for becoming every day my best version.
After 10x I have the power to decide over my body without having to spend hours in the gym or just focusing on the pain for good aesthetics. With 10x you can have a better understanding of your training, your skills, your mind power and the habits that can make you stronger, not only physically, but in many categories of your life.
