Now in my 30’s, I had just started getting back into working out a few years ago when I had a rollerblading accident that ended in a broken wrist (on my birthday, but that’s another story).
Then I saw a simple video on Facebook. The concept was easy, I knew a lot of the moves already… but the idea of working out to failure was new. I also loved the idea that it could be quick and easy.
Since my city was in lockdown I decided to take a chance. What’s one more try anyways, and it’s not like I had anything better to do.
I already had a 10lb dumbbell set, so I found a chin-up bar in Amazon and ordered some resistance bands and I was all set. I noticed small changes relatively quickly.
I went from 3 assisted chin-ups to now being up to 8 assisted. I can see muscle definition in my arms and back.. and my tummy is now starting to flatten out a bit.
Last week I went to the beach and had a few comments from friends. I honestly can’t believe how my body is changing. Not to mention my being able to deal with Toronto being under lockdown since Christmas.
You guys have truly changed my life. I’ve even been thinking about taking the teaching program because I feel like everyone needs this in their life.
I’m now on day 63 and can’t wait to see what the next few weeks bring, or even another few months. I truly am grateful.
