What's more, I also learned in reading Bessel Van Der Kolk's "The Body Keeps the Score" that Alpha and Theta training shows strong evidence for reducing states of hyper-arousal for individuals with PTSD which means that not only did the Silva Method and other classes I took teach me new skills but they are in fact part of what is helping me to heal my central nervous system which tends towards dysregulation in high stress moments. The skills I am taking away from the Silva Method and other courses I have taken at Mindvalley will be helpful in preventing future bouts of burnout and trauma responses to the challenges of life.
I still have a long road of recovery ahead of me and know that I will return to the Silva Method centering exercises and mental screen exercises everyday. However, I feel confident that I now have the tools and resources to further continue on my healing journey and become a more centered and confident version of myself.
