"I am enrolled again to refresh and renew my capabilities to project an engaging future"

I first enrolled in a Silva Mind Control class in 1976 when I was a graduate student in comparative literature at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, a year in which it was impossible to find a teaching position. Having changed my career goals at age 25, I was still studying for the Ph.D. ten years later and was struggling to keep up with my younger classmates in a world where jobs were scarce. 

I'd always been interested in intuition and altered states of mind, so it was with joy I attended the 48-hours, or two weekend sessions. My fellow classmates were mostly priests and nuns and their higher vibrations made my own experience of the class astounding. The cases we performed at the end of the class were so real that I was too frightened to use what I learned afterwards. 

However, I cannot ignore the fact that not long after Silva Mind Control classes, I experienced that "beautiful destruction": my brother died in an automobile accident, I failed the second of four comprehensive exams for the Ph.D. in Japanese literature, and lost my partner. Within six months, I left the Ph.D. program, enrolled in a bachelors degree program in information technology and became a successful computer programmer, to my astonishment. I never stopped meditating, even though I wasn't formally following what I'd learned. 
I am 81 today, and having survived cancer for the third time, I am enrolled again to refresh and renew my capabilities to project an engaging future. I've published three books and have two more ready to publish; now, all I have to do is sell them.
