Working out 6 days a week wasn't always convenient. I'd often skip a day then have to double up the next day in order to follow the program I was doing. It was exhausting.
In the past 15 years, I have done tons of programs out there and had a few trainers. My current personal goal was to change the shape of my body by toning up and losing fat.
Honestly, I thought I had a pretty good idea on how to do just that.
Then one day, I saw the 10X advertisement about working out 30 minutes per week! 30 minutes a week??? Ya right! It just seemed crazy to me! But imagine if it was true.
All the time I could save! I was really curious and had to watch the 1-hour Masterclass on it. Well, when I saw Lorenzo's story, I was sold! I had to give it a try.
I got my mother to join me in this quest. She joined and had never really weight lifted before. She had mainly done aerobic exercises in the '80s. She was always trying to lose weight. But now, at 69, she was finally looking to get strong enough to stay independent as long as she could, and do whatever she could to age gracefully rather than wither away! Her personal challenge was opening jars. She had such a hard time with those. To our surprise, as we started doing 10X, we would find ourselves exhausted after the exercise and yet, it would take approximately 11 minutes total, each.
We would laugh and say, “How could I be sweating after 11 minutes?” But it was an intense 11 minutes. Soon she starting lifting with heavier and heavier weights. She was so proud of her strength gain. We all were.
And guess what?
Those jars, she hasn’t asked me to open any for her since. It was an amazing experience! We both bonded!
And my reason for working out has changed as well. It was always to better my body, make it look better. Make me feel better. But now as I worked through 10X, I understood that this was not a program, but a journey. A lifelong journey I was looking forward to doing.
This program gave me the knowledge and the confidence to do it as I choose to. To create the body that I want and be as healthy as I can be! Now instead of trying to look better, I want to be healthier and take the time it’ll take to achieve just that. And with 10X, I have everything I need to do it!
Everyone can spare 15 minutes on themselves a couple of days a week.
