"I was motivated to keep up as I saw beginner gains within the first 4 weeks"

I decided to 'run' this program last August 2022. I had just completed the Longevity Blueprint with Ben Greenfield where I learned a lot. So when I started 10X, I thought I was ahead of the game. In reality, there was so much I didn't know.
I committed to completing this program by signing up for 18 months at a gym nearby. I put the intention out there that I would take it in baby steps and build confidence in all the movements, actually scheduling 2 gym sessions a week that were non-negotiable.
I was terribly uncomfortable going over to the weights side of the gym. I was an intermittent fasting cardio bunny. I preferred treadmills and spin bikes over weights.
Most people set an intention to lose weight and get fit and healthy when they join the gym. Mine was to learn how resistance training was going to help mold my body. I had no other expectations. I was a blank slate. I started with a PT showing me how those machines worked, terrifying!
Baby steps. The program was perfectly suited to my brain. The videos were simple enough for me to understand, though I had to rewatch a few. The nutrition information was very helpful, but in truth, it's taken me a year to make the connection between nutrient timing, meal frequency, macronutrients, and my workouts. It's been a year since I started the program. Ran through it twice, then adapted parts to suit my goals.
I was motivated to keep up as I saw beginner gains within the first 4 weeks. I used resistance bands when I traveled in place of the gym equipment. It took immense willpower NOT to go for a run on the treadmill or do a spin session. I stuck with the program!
Here's the thing. By the end of the program, I understood a lot but felt I needed to run it again. The second time around, I saw completely different results based on my nutrition intake, my cardio patterns, my emotional state, my hydration, etc. I was quite confused, so I did my own further research.
Now, one year on, I understand way more about how my body responds to all the variants. I rewatched some of the videos again and this time I really got it!!!
Great program. I'm still learning. And each time I go back into the program, I remember something and tweak my workouts. I'm still committed 100%.
I recommend everyone try this as it is a program that teaches you how to create a good foundation for strength training. I totally get the enthusiasm behind teaching it. I will teach it one day.
I'm 48 this year, I am a mum of two teenagers. I was not willing to try anything new on the exercise front. I can honestly say one year on, I have fewer hangups about my body (I've gained 6kg but it's a work in progress). I now understand and respect my body. I'm stronger, I have more energy, and I'm happier for it.
I've normalized resistance training, it doesn't scare me as much! FYI, I still can't do a non-assisted pull-up, nor a full-body push-up. That's why I'm still at it!!!
I have attached a photo of me on my fasting cardio journey to lose and maintain what I thought was my ideal healthy weight (bottom). As a comparison, the photo on top is of me one year later having completed 10x and adapting the program to suit my goals.
Thank you.

"I plan to make 10X a part of my life. I highly recommend it"

Be fore 10 X I was not a fan of weight training. I tried it a few times over the years yet never enjoyed it. I feel the quality of the instruction and the fellow questers helped set this apart. The holistic approach with the science behind it, the nutrition counseling and the sleep aspect...
