My WildFit Journey: A Return to Radiant Health at 66
At 66 years old, my greatest desire is to enjoy a long, healthy, peaceful life — surrounded by my loved ones and embracing extraordinary experiences. That’s why I decided to join the WildFit program. What I found went far beyond nutrition; it was a journey back to myself.
Over the course of 90 days, I lost 3 kilos, reduced my waist by 12 cm, my hips by 8 cm, and saw my BMI drop from 23.6 to 22.4 — all within the healthy range. My body fat decreased from 38% (considered obese) to 28.4% (average). But the physical transformation is just part of the story.
The inflammation in my body subsided. The dark spots on my face and the skin outbreak on my forehead began to fade. The headaches I used to wake up with slowly disappeared. I now feel sleepy earlier and wake up earlier. My energy is stable and balanced.
More importantly, WildFit helped me reconnect with my body and my inner dialogue. I realized I often used food as a reward — for being strong, for enduring pain, or simply to avoid social discomfort. I became aware that the fleeting sense of happiness or comfort from eating non-functional foods never lasts — and that the true, lasting satisfaction comes from honoring my health.
I learned about the different types of hunger — especially emotional and hydration-based hunger. I became more conscious of how the food industry manipulates our choices, how labels mislead us, and how the diet culture makes us feel like failures. I now know how to read labels, when and how to eat fruit and nuts properly, and why certain foods don’t serve the human body.
Perhaps the most powerful lesson was learning to set clear boundaries: the foods I choose never to eat again, those I’ll enjoy occasionally, the ones I accept, and those that are truly essential for me.
WildFit didn’t just change my eating habits. It changed the way I relate to myself. It gave me tools, awareness, and a renewed sense of purpose. I feel more in tune with my body and more at peace with my choices.
To anyone considering WildFit — especially those of us in our 60s and beyond — know this: it’s never too late to feel radiant, empowered, and free.
