Wildfit Challenge took me to the next level and building awareness of food. I pay much more attention to the way food actually feels and what I eat.
I first started with the programme - 7 Days To Breaking Up With Sugar with Eric Edmeades in early January 2021. I found the 7 days challenge and how to cut out sugar from your diet quite interesting but easier said than done. However, it made me realize and understand the "why" behind not eating sugar. That's when I decided to join the Wildfit Challenge because I believed that it is possible and I can do it.
Today, after 90 days my sugar cravings have stopped. I haven't had any dairy product for the last 3 months. I started to enjoy more greens and my alkagizer drinks. I used to take very little salads prior to the programme, and now my plate is always filled with them.
Now I am more aware of different kinds of food, reading ingredients more, play the dialogue in my head.
Now I pay more attention to these, and ask myself: What was it actually like, last time I ate it? What do I want to get from it? Happiness? Stress-relief? Or any feeling related to my past?
These are more questions that pop in my head towards any new food or specific likings these days.
I used to have tea or coffee every morning before I started my day. The 2nd tea in the late afternoon (sometimes), and one final tea at night after dinner. 3 was my max on certain days otherwise the most I had was two cups of tea, with milk and sugar. And I love having a butter croissant occasionally, especially after dinner when I enjoy that last cup of tea for the day.
All of this has changed! I haven't had tea/coffee last 2 months. Do I crave it anymore? No, not really. I miss having it once a while but now I know what I want more. I have shifted towards herbal caffeine-free tea.
And most definitely butter croissant is out.
It is amazing how much progress I made, and thanks to the Wildfit Challenge making me realise what I actually will get from the food in the end. Butter croissant or white bread is a good example.
Using my Food Awareness brought much clarity to my attraction to unhealthy foods, and helped me to appreciate healthy foods. I realised how important leafy greens are for me.
Now, I crave green salads and green leafy vegetables more than before, and the new addition of alkagizer smoothies. I found Wildfit Challenge was a very empowering programme.
Additionally, the weekly calls helped with more direct contact with the Wildfit team, listening to other Wildfit members, and the feedback. I have to admit that the moment I played the weekly videos, Wildfit gets my full attention.
Everything starts to appeal to my logical brain. This is very important because of the placebo effect: You have to believe in the programme for it to work at its best. Eric makes it clear that everything is an experiment. So, as long as you are learning, and feeling healthier progressively, it's great.
The seasonal approach of the Wildfit Challenge fits well into this philosophy, which I thought was really helpful. According to it, it is all about how often we expose our body to certain food.
Sugar, in the form of honey, fruits and sweet vegetables, for instance, is not a bad food in itself. But when we eat it daily, it may become a burden to certain parts of our body.
I finished the 90-Day Wildfit Challenge successfully end of April 2021. Now, I am living a Wildfit Lifestyle.
My results - released 26 lbs (~12 kg); Body Mass is 21.60; and Body Fat is 15.6%.
I feel proud of my accomplishment. Thank you Eric and the Coaches...and everyone else.
