"I’m so very grateful for this experience and the tools I can use every day for the rest of my life"

Coming fresh out of a long-term relationship I worried about my ability to support and comfort myself the way my ex-partner did when we were together. He was my rock for so many years. I needed to find the courage and tools within myself to move forward, comfort and support myself when times got tough. To nurture me during this life change.
Having been a foster child for 15 years of my childhood, moving from home to home, I didn’t understand the value of self-care and love.
The first meditation practice made me cry, helped me release unnecessary energy and comfort myself. I needed to hear from another person how important it is to love others and love yourself - because foster kids, especially indigenous ones aren’t taught that. That love bomb blew my mind and brought so much joy I started telling my friends about it! I felt like a cheerleader for the M word technique!
I’m so very grateful for this experience and the tools I can use every day for the rest of my life, taking care of myself and becoming a better provider as a parent, friend, co-worker, write and advocate for indigenous children in the Canadian foster care system.
Thank you, Emily and Mindvalley!
