"It felt like Vishen sitting with us, telling stories, sharing lived wisdom, and speaking directly to where we are right now"
I’ve been a Mindvalley member for six years now, and I’ve taken many Quests along the way, including Be Extraordinary and The Silva Method with Vishen Lakhiani.
This review, though, is for the 7-Day Challenge Vishen hosted in the lead-up to Christmas.
What I loved most was how personal it felt. It wasn’t polished or performative - it felt like Vishen sitting with us, telling stories, sharing lived wisdom, and speaking directly to where we are right now.
I live in Hong Kong, so the calls were at midnight for me, but I stayed up late every night, sitting in my pyjamas, connecting to something deeper. It was a very special way to spend this holiday season.
My top 3 takeaways are…
1. Upgrade your internal state, and everything else follows I know this, but it was such a good reminder. When you operate from confusion or scarcity, you create more of it. But when you shift your internal operating system, your goals, actions, and life in general upgrade with it.
2. RISEN Vishen shared five principles to help you show up with devotion: ritual over motivation, identity-based habits, service over self, embodiment, and non-attachment to the outcome. I love this simple framework and have already applied it to my meditation practice, anchoring the habit more deeply. What resonated most for me was taking on the identity of the person I am becoming.
3. Stop gripping I loved how Vishen invited us to hold our goals lightly, and demonstrated this by first gripping something tightly in the hand, then relaxing it. The sense of ease and flow was tangible in that moment, and it’s something I’ve carried with me since.
Huge thanks, Vishen, for your generosity, insights, and the way you shared them.
