I am a 47-year-old Engineer, I also have an MBA and an MPA (Master’s in Public Administration), and I am planning to begin studying again and finish a BSc in Economics. First, I took Jim Kwik’s Superbrain quest to be able to improve my memory, but something was still missing.
The Super Reading quest helped me to close the circle. Super Reading for me was a life-changing experience. Jim’s methodology was simply amazing, I followed step by step what he taught, and I gradually kept improving my reading capabilities. I learned that probably my worst bad habit was subvocalization, and I am still working on it.
I started with a base rate of 253 WPM, and on day 21st I am at 869 WPM. Now I comfortably juggle with two balls, and I am 100% sure I will master it with three balls because I want to exceed my 1,000 WPM personal goal and peripheral vision is key to accomplish that goal.
I also learned that my comprehension increases considerably when I read using just two eye fixations on each line, instead of underlining the whole text with my finger, so from now on I will use this technique and keep improving my speed since I have to be ready to start my BSc this next August, a highly motivational objective for a 47-year-old Engineer.
Thanks to my coach Jim Kwik for such an amazing quest, I totally agree with him that this is only the beginning of a new way of facing the rest of my life. It is certainly never too late for a new beginning. I really hope to meet Jim in person soon!
