"I finally found the answer to learn how to learn"

Before this Quest my life was limited by fear of learning new things. Especially, if I felt it would be too hard or way over my head. Sadly, even if I was really interested I would convince myself that I would not be able to learn so don’t try. Silly ANTS. Prime example was juggling believe it or not. But now I can proudly say that “I Am...a juggler.” Yes, I whole heartedly believe this to be true of myself. I will say that I have learned new things in my life but it wasn’t easy and thank God for my stubbornness to get me thought the hurdles. The reason I enrolled in this Quest was because I felt that I had finally found the answer to learn how to learn. Something that I struggled with like so many of us in the 70’s and 80’s. The teachings were so sterile. “Sit down, shut up and listen.” I barely even remember grade school. This Quest was polar opposite which enable me to see a path for my purpose. I know now that I can learn anything and now have the tools to build anything I need. It has been my passion to serve Veterans in any capacity. My heart goes out to WWII Veterans especially. Veterans sacrifice so much of their lives for others and I just want to give back by having a non-profit foundation for Veterans that can have access to life coaches, health coaches and even functional nutrition coaches for one on one sessions. Organizing a non-profit doesn’t scare me any longer. I have confidence that I will figure this it and do great things for Veterans. I strongly recommend this Quest to those who feel stuck and shut out from living because of fear of learning new things. I am a living testimony for learning new things in a matter of 30+ days. The fact that I can juggle opened up a lot of doors for me. Getting that third ball in the air was a hug WIN for me. My confidence level just got up-leveled and my wife keeps commenting about my new kid like attitude. Not only do I have more energy because of my morning and evening routines, but my appetite for reading just gets more and more stronger. I have a book list that keeps growing. My ears Perk up for a good read.

My Top 3 Takeaways during my Quest were: 1. Realizing that I had a brain that was smart and capable all along for learning more than I could ever imagine and to be able to apply it to my life. 2. I no longer have to fear taking on new learnings no matter how difficult. Learning is a process and practice makes progress. Mindset, Motivation and Methods are the tools I have to use now. And I just feel Super and Limitless! 3. I came to a sad realization about our brain as kids. I feel that our Superbrain should have been protected more and free of all the LIES. I was sharing this with my wife and I found myself getting upset. I can only imagine what life would be like today if our Superbrain was limitless at that early stage of our lives. But still at 53 years old, I’m grateful to have had this opportunity. By biggest positive change has been my attitude. Now, when I talk to my wife about helping Veterans I no longer say, “Oh one day.” I’m actually taking steps to making this a reality. And the best part about his new journey is that I’m not afraid of failing because failing is trying. Or better yet having a fear of succeeding as crazy as that sounds. To sum up my Quest, I’m just Super grateful to Jim and his mess that proved to be the most worthy message to all humanity.
