My Silva Journey It was the early 70’s and my roommate, Candy and I were driving down the road in my bronze convertible Mustang with the top down. Our waist length hair was flowing in the breeze as Gordon Lightfoot just finished singing, “Sundown ya better take care……” The DJ came on announcing a seminar called The Silva Mind Control Method. It was being taught in Scottsdale in a few weeks. This weekend seminar could teach us how to program our minds like a billion-dollar computer. We were students at Arizona State at the time and somehow scraped up the money to go. We were giddy with anticipation. Candy had grown up Southern Baptist and I had just finished 12 years in Catholic School when we met. We were looking for a philosophy of life that made sense. We read the Power of Positive Thinking and Think and Grow Rich and learned Transcendental Meditation. The Beatles were doing it, so we knew it was cool. Is this Blasphemy? I felt blasphemous at times with all we were learning because in Catholic School all this “occult” stuff was considered from the devil. But I was electrified by the ideas we were learning. We couldn’t wait to learn more. The weekend Silva seminar began with learning the importance of controlling our thoughts. I loved the idea of active meditation instead of sitting quietly focusing on a mantra in the zone trying not to think. We learned so much that weekend. I still use the Silva techniques to this day. I don’t write out a grocery list. I visualize the items I need on the hood of my car and make it as goofy as I can. I imagine eggs frying with brown edges curling up. Toothpaste oozing out of the tube and running into the toilet paper with the end trailing in the breeze. Selling Was Easy Using Silva Techniques The Silva class really helped to develop my intuition. In my career in sales I was able to intuitively know what my client wanted. That’s what sales was to me anyway: find what the client wants and give it to them. I could also “program” my mind to hit sales goals from what I had learned. In those days the sales teams were usually thirty guys and two women. I was always a top salesman because of Silva. I would never let them know about using intuition because in those days it was called “women’s intuition.” I guess as a way to make it an inferior way of approaching business. Later in my interior design business I was able use intuition to tune into the type of design my client wanted by the clothes they were wearing, the vibe they were sending out and the way they moved. Heal Yourself and Others With Silva The Silva training was amazing. To graduate, we had to pass the ultimate mind control test. Each of us brought information about sick people we knew. On index cards we wrote the person’s name, age, and where they lived. To conduct the test, we were to choose partners we didn’t know. I had noticed Dave the first day, looking like Van Morrison with his bushy hair and soulful eyes. I sprinted across the room to team up with him. As he sat down across from me, he held his index card and began, “My person’s name is Dottie. She’s my aunt. She’s 49 and lives in Sedona.” I settled into the position I was taught. I closed my eyes and took a long, relaxing breath. I then imagined going to the laboratory they had told us to create in our minds. Dottie immediately flashed on the screen. “Dottie has red hair,” I said, “and she’s wearing a brown and white polka dot dress.” “Yes!” Dave jumped up, “Aunt Dottie always wears polka dots. And how did you know she had red hair?” Dave was as excited as I was about being able to “read” this person. We sat stunned for a moment and then I prepared for the next part. I was to scan her body for the ailment. Within seconds, I saw a huge black lump attached to Dottie’s neck. “Does she have cancer?” I asked. “Somewhere around her throat?” “She does!” Dave exclaimed. “A tumor on her thyroid!” I let out a shaky breath and continued. We were instructed to fix whatever we found, leaving the person better than before. I visualized grabbing scissors, cutting out the tumor and throwing it away. In those moments I felt a tremendous surge of the power. That night Candy and I were flying high with all we’d experienced that weekend. Since we couldn’t sleep, we decided to make cookies. We infused them mentally with all the energy of this newfound way of thinking. Our “Alpha Cookies” were a hit, brightening everyone’s mood who tasted them. Now when I make cookies with my granddaughters, we always instill them with love. One granddaughter kisses her fingers then touches each cookie methodically as she infuses them with love. Burn Her at the Stake! In the mid 90’s I learned Reiki. Using Reiki and Silva tools I was able to help my son’s various sprained ankles and jammed fingers from basketball, heal our pets and kept myself healthy. I also helped other people around town that had illnesses. We lived in a small mill town in the state of Washington. My husband was in Real Estate and I had a design business downtown. One night he came home from work and said someone told him, “I heard your wife is in a cult.” I immediately freaked out imagining all the townspeople marching down main street to my design shop carrying torches and pitchforks yelling, “Get her! We need to burn her at the stake.” Needless to say, I went underground for many years for my less than mainstream ideas. I detail many instances like this where I hid most of what I learned in Silva in my book. For the last 5 years I have had a Coaching/Healing Energy Business. I use Silva techniques along with the Emotion Code, Body Code and Theta Healing to remove the blocks to my clients’ success. It is so fulfilling and at 68 I am healthier than most 50-year-old people I know. I heard from Candy the other day and she psychically removed a tumor from her daughter’s dog. The vet couldn’t believe the X-Rays when her daughter took her dog back to him for the surgery. He kept saying, “Are these the right X-Rays?” Life is Magical Using Silva I was so enamored with the Alpha stage I learned in Silva Mind Control, I named my LLC, Alpha Wisdom. Everything I do is guided by what I get from using the wisdom I receive from the Alpha and Theta state. I am excited to be included in this Silva course to refresh all I had learned. I feel truly blessed to have found The Silva Mind Control Method way back in the ‘70’s. It has made my life truly magical.
