Coming from a very long-lived family, my Grandmother lived to 103 and frankly died of boredom in the end, and my father at 96 is still super active mentally and physically (he doesn't even wear reading glasses...yet!) thoughts of living for perhaps another 30+ years began to play on my mind.
The idea of 30 or 40 years living with ill health, or being confined to an armchair, filled me with horror. I want to follow in my Grandmother's footsteps (without the boredom bit) and do my darndest to make sure I take as many of my best friends with me on this journey to make those final decades worth living. We hear all the time that 60 is the new 40, and 70 is the new 50. I wanted to be in that club.
At 66 years old, I only have 4 more years to join the 70/50 club. So, whilst I still color my grey hair, the rest of me is all-natural. The plan is to keep that going for as it feels 'right' and Holobody has, in my view, given me the best tools to do so and set me on a new road of enlightenment.
