Before I retired I looked forward to starting my own small business, but after retirement, all my good intentions petered out. Instead, I shared my skills with others through volunteer work. Even though I found this very rewarding – the rest of my life was becoming increasingly more disorganized. I had difficulty focussing and rarely finished anything I started. I’d make lists of things I wanted to accomplish in the house and go to bed knowing I’d achieved nothing. Time wasn’t on my side anymore, so the wasted days which were turning into months started to concern me.
It was then LifeBook came along and I joined because I’d heard it was a process that made you accountable for your desired outcomes. I hoped it would help me to force my life back into shape. However, what I didn’t expect, was to discover I had this amazing life that I hadn’t even been aware of – and rather than feeling ‘forced’ I couldn’t wait to further develop and perfect it.
The benefits I’ve experienced have astounded me. LifeBook concentrates on 12 life categories and after doing the first category on health and fitness; I upgraded my diet which resulted in having energy to burn. Working with all the other categories has given me so much enthusiasm for my life that there’s no way I’ll ever be tempted to return to my previous flat, ineffectual way of being. The canvas has changed.
The LifeBook process isn’t about delivering a temporary relief from life’s problems. It’s about becoming a self-aware creator of your own life. It opens up your entire outlook while providing concrete training to help you consciously and spontaneously define the kind of life you really want. You come away with a book about your life done your way – a book about you which continues to grow and expand as your self-awareness increases.
It’s incredible. For the first time ever, I know where I’m going – and I’m completely enthusiastic about the journey. No matter what your age - I can’t recommend the experience of LifeBook highly enough.
