"The WildFit Challenge was everything. It gave me my life back"

July 3, 2021
8:30 AM

It's a beautiful summer morning and I just finished up a 3 mile walk. The birds are singing and other sounds from nature are in chorus with the birds as I write this.
I’m reflecting on the last day of the April 5, 2021 WildFit Challenge. I spent yesterday (2 weeks really) heartbroken and full of tears that WildFit was coming to an end. It was gutting to hear Eric, in his last challenge video, say, “ and I won’t be seeing you on Monday.” Wow. Are we really here? Has 90 days really gone by already? I guess so. It's both amazing and a little surreal to realize that I’ve just finished the challenge. I was actually able to stick with the program and pushed through some rough spots.

This has been one heck of an experience; not only have I grown stronger as a person but also more confident about what matters most to me - my health. The thought of saying goodbye to my challenge mates, my coaches Joanne Peters and Michelle Mulholland Temple, and the rest of the staff running the Challenge and Facebook group has been hard enough, but knowing there are no more of Eric’s videos felt like losing a friend. I made sure to show up to our Graduation live Zoom call with Joanna to thank her with the bravest face I could muster. I’m so glad I made that last live call. Eric showed up on that call and spoke to each and every one of us. What an amazing human being he is. The compassion that man has for others and their challenges is immeasurable. Though I tried to hold it together speaking with him, I sobbed as I thanked him and told him my story.

When I started this challenge April 5, 2021, I could barely walk. I had all over body pain, extreme low energy, lots of inflammation, neuropathy in my thigh, tachycardia like palpitations, and on a C-Pap machine to sleep.
Honestly, I signed up for the Wildfit Challenge with little hope and as a last resort. I had booked a trip to Scotland in 2019 for October 2020 when I had better mobility. The trip was postponed to October 2021 due to Covid and as 2020 went on, my mobility decreased further and my pain increased. I didn't want to cancel my trip and I sure as hell didn’t want to be the person who held others back because I couldn't walk well enough to keep up.
So here I am, on July 3, 2021, 91 days after watching Eric’s first video of the WildFit Challenge, full of gratitude for Eric, my coaches Michelle and Joanna, the Mindvalley Team and the WildFit Team.

Here is my list of improvements in 90 days:
- Energy to stay awake until 10 pm (I was going to bed at 5 PM)
- Released 25 pounds
- Released 28 total inches
- No joint pain in hands, elbows, feet
- No pain in hips, back, knees
- Reduced inflammation
- Reduced neuropathy
- Off medication for tachycardia like palpitations
- Off C-pap machine
Walking 3-5 miles a day (could barely walk in April) Gained mental clarity and focus Experiencing extreme happiness daily

The WildFit Challenge was everything. It gave me my life back. It's not really goodbye either. I will be going forward with Living WildFit, along with other members of my challenge. Eric’s videos every week will be missed, especially since he always gave us so much hope when we needed it most, but this Living WildFit thing is going to be ok. I’m excited to see where it takes me. THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART FOR THIS GIFT.
