“I went from fatigue and weight gain to energy and self-trust”

Before this Quest, I had always been healthy and fit — until I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. The treatment saved my life, but it cost me my fitness. I gained weight from the medications, felt fatigued easily, and slowly lost the physical vitality I had always taken for granted. I also relied heavily on milk and ice cream — habits that had quietly become part of my daily routine.
I enrolled in this Quest primarily to learn more about food and how it might support longevity, especially as I approach 70. I was hoping to gain practical insight — something grounded and useful — rather than just another set of dietary rules.
What I discovered was far more impactful than I expected.
After completing the Quest, I feel full of energy and far stronger in my decision-making around food than ever before. The weight loss has been a welcome side benefit, but the real shift has been mental. My thinking has changed. I feel more resilient against cravings and far more conscious of why I choose what I eat.
The biggest changes I’ve noticed are in my energy levels, my discipline, and my sense of self-trust. I no longer feel at the mercy of habits or sweet cravings. There’s a steadiness now.
My top takeaways are:
Food influences far more than weight — it shapes clarity, mood, and resilience.
Cravings are manageable when you understand them.
Small, consistent choices create meaningful long-term change.
I would recommend this Quest to anyone. Even if someone didn’t follow the programme as strictly as during the structured weeks, there is tremendous value in simply learning to think differently about food. For me, it has been less about restriction and more about empowerment.
