WILDFIT

"I have grown to love myself"

I love my wine, I love my gin and tonic, I love my ice cream, I love my chocolate, I love my coffee and above all, I love my freedom or having just toast and butter all day or cereal for every meal of the day weeks in. Why not? I'm an adult now, I am free to eat whatever I want. Right? Wrong!

Wildfit taught me what it was to have true freedom to choose what I eat everyday. I look at the list of things I used to love and I no longer feel that way. It's like I've been brainwashed.... or have had the reverse done on me? When I tell my friends and family I don't eat a certain food now, they respect me and look at me with puppy dog eyes for more wisdom sharing. They see how far I have come and how much I have changed. Wildfit was tough at times. It was frustrating at times and at times I thought Eric had no idea what he was talking about. Trust me, I'm a doctor. I always had a doubt about his level of knowledge. The first couple of weeks I would Google one or two bits of information to try and prove him wrong. Slowly I began to recognise the correct advice he would give while acknowledging not being a doctor himself. Today I respect him for teaching me about nutrition and allowing me to complete my medical degree PROPERLY the way it should have been intended since forever. I am now a completely changed person. I don't fear falling back in the trap of old habits because I now am loaded with knowledge I never had before. Once you learn your alphabets, you cannot then unlearn them. You just keep growing and slowly start to read. Wildfit is a lot like that. 13 weeks is just the time you need to reach and understanding of what nutrition is all about and more importantly, what works for your body type. And then, the journey or learning and growing begins... I've done many other programs and I always yo yo with my weight. I always blamed myself for my self sabotaging way of life and to pile on the weight I'd lose. But Eric taught us that none of it is our fault. Throughout the program it was never our fault. Throughout the program we learned that we are but only humans living in a fast paced world that journeys faster than we are able to cope with. I have grown to love myself, love my body, love my calmness, love my high energy levels and love not feeling sleepy after lunch. I love that I don't rely on coffee to keep me going for the day. My skin is radiant and my nails never break now. I have lost close to 10kgs and I look and feel amazing. To achieve this in 13 weeks is insane! And yet, today, it just makes sense. I am forever living wildfit. This is but the start of my journey.

Thank you Cynthia and Jean for being the best coaches one could ask for. Thank you tribe for letting me into your wonderful family. And finally thank you Eric for being the genius that you are.
