"I had a huge migraine the week we gave up refined sugar and I have not had a headache since"

I am changed forever!
I am Greek and being Greek food is super important to us culturally and relationally. We don’t do ANYTHING without food! And we like to make a song and dance about it too.
So I was dubious when Eric suggested that our taste buds may recalibrate during this challenge and there may be certain foods that we don’t crave anymore.
I am happy to admit I was wrong to be dubious because it has happened. Foods that I never thought I could not crave no longer have that same pull.
Although I am Greek I live in the UK and the English are huge tea drinkers. So having lived here nearly all of my life I too have adopted this custom. To the extreme. I don’t think a day has past by in my entire life when I didn’t have at least one cup of tea! This I was sure I would bring back the moment I could. Because tea drinking again has a very strong cultural pull but also a very emotional one. If you have a bad day and someone says ‘let’s stick the kettle on and make a cup of tea’ these words are like emotional salve. It makes everything feel better. It’s almost like a medicine over here!
I’m glad to admit I was wrong again. It’s the one thing I thought I would be dying to bring back and I haven’t even given it a second thought!
Thats not to say I won’t ever have a cup of tea again but I know now that I will be able to control it. Rather than be ‘sticking the kettle on’ 5 or 6 times a day!
A big win for me has been headaches. In that they are no more. I used to get them daily and would take regular medication to help me get through the days. I had a huge migraine the week we gave up refined sugar and I have not had a headache since. But I am glad that I had that migraine because now it is engraved in my memory so that whenever I think of eating any refined sugar I remember that headache and it puts me back on course. This I know will help me to keep refined sugars in my ‘never’ list.
I was diagnosed with fatty liver before I joined wildfit and I am having tests next week to confirm if there has been any change in this diagnoses. I am hoping that with 14lbs lost and 5 inches off my waist this will have a positive impact and will have helped reduced my fatty liver.
My skin is glowing. People are asking me what I am doing and people are going away and googling some of the things I have been talking about. It’s helped to inspire them to do something too!
 Eric is epic.
I just wanted to say how grateful I am for this experience and all the support. I was lucky enough to be in a fantastic group and our coaches Melanie and Kerry were amazing and I knowledgeable.
Special thanks to Melanie Hopkins who is an outstanding coach and full of kindness and empathy. She truly is amazing and made me really feel part of a tribe. Almost family. She made it real every week and always so inspiring and honest. Funny too. Melanie you are amazing.
I sent a message to Eric on his Instagram today. No doubt he will never read it but I was just so grateful I wanted to tell the world!
Thank you thank you thank you.
