All I can say is wow, I found this really useful.
I do a lot of engineering at University, and I'm expected to understand how things work and take on huge amounts of information in very short amounts of time. I used to rely heavily on working really hard, but I figured it was time to work smarter, this is what Superbrain helped me to do. It taught me a lot about methods of remembering, and I kid you not, don't be deceived by some of the 'mundane' or 'unapplicable' initial ideas such as the sun list, because it can be really powerful. I use these to help me in my degree, and I have been able to increase the amount of work I have been doing enough to be able to spend time on projects and things I believe will help shape the future, of which my degree is just a small part of that plan.
One thing that totally changed my perspective was the idea that often we get distracted and unable to take on information not because of excess but deficit, and since, I have started listening to my lectures in 2x speed, I have been able to take on and retain more information and half the time!
Another I use is the mind-palace technique. I regularly use this with personal development books that I wish to remember because it is really handy for encoding and memorizing that idea's so I can recall them at a later date for use. I honestly would not be able to remember anywhere near as much as I had previously had I not have been using this. I love the pegging method and linking things, though I know I definitely need more practice as it takes me too long to visualize/think of a linkage to help remember things but I can see how handy this can be during meetings so I don't have to take notes and can pay full attention without worry about missing everything!
When people say we learn by stories, they really are true, I had come across using stories to store information before but little did I know there is better ways to tell a story to remember it better, using visual clue and mental links.
Really helpful course and I have found a lot more applicable than I first thought! Thank you for this opportunity, loved it!
