What it was like for me before the quest... I believe that my brain capacity became diminished due to a heavy amount of relationship trauma... I had been on the altar team at my church and when people came up for prayer I would ask there name, they would tell me what they wanted prayer for and I'd pray, very often unable to recall their name thus saying honey or sister or my brother here... I felt embarrassed and struggled.
THEN, I joined the Quest.... ha, ha, ha.... Jim told us to remember 20 words in order and that we would learn them forwards and backwards... I had a GREAT BIG BELLY LAUGH that day... then he taught me how to use my brain... and he gets an A+ and a smile face!
This student passed with flying colors! I also went on to share this this with others who then laughed at me... and BRAVO, they learned too!
As far as names, which was the real impetus for me to join the tribe.... as I said even recalling one name was near impossible for me.... well, I went to a new bible study where there were 6 people there. I played the game with myself when I asked there names... and walaa.... I remembered ALL SIX NAMES................ it was incredible! Like the scarecrow from the wizard of Oz, I do have a brain!
That same week I went to church and asked two ladies their names and used the association method and now can easily recall their names as well ..... Debra was a picture of a bra... and Alesha was A leash, as in a dog leash... it was really cool for me.
For whatever it is worth, I can now count to ten not just in three languages, I can count to ten now also in Japanese! I also learned the first 10 elements of the periodic table and worked on the next ten.... I didn't even want to learn it and Jim just snuck it in there!
I am forever changed because of joining this quest! I was a cheerleader in High school for the wrestling team... now I can cheer-lead myself on to Greater-ness thanks to the Kwik Kuest! The Lord bless you! Sincerely, Lisa Mars
