I was so excited to see this program on Mindvalley, because many years ago, in 1982, I took the Silva Mind Control course in the UK when I was 13.
My Aunt practiced the Silva method daily, three times a day, and in 1982, my mother passed away, and I went to live with my aunt for a year before moving to the US to live with my dad.
My aunt paid for me to take the course, and even though I was very young, I loved dynamic meditation and it's benefits. I would experiment with the mirror technique to change things for the better for myself. But the big thing that proved to me that you can influence the world, was when I finally made it to the US, my dad went to enroll me into high school, and school counselor had not got my school records yet. He told my dad that he thought I should be held back a year, just because I was coming from another country. I did not want to be held back, so I spent every day, three times a day meditating, using visualization, seeing the counselor putting me one or two grades ahead instead of holding me back. After four weeks, my dad got a phone call from the school, and he was told that based on my school transcripts, I was to be put two grades ahead.
Look, I was not an extraordinary student, and there was nothing in my school records that said that I had skipped grades in the UK. But there I was, in the 11th grade instead of the 9th grade. The Silva method works, and that's why I am excited to take this improved course.
