"Made a believer out of me"

Before this program I'd never tried mental healing or looking into ailments others might have. I did serve as caregiver for my now deceased husband for 10 years, for the last 3 years as sole 24/7 caregiver and was asked several times by doctors how I knew so much about what was going on with him when I called the EMTs or took him to the hospital for an emergency (they were always unexpected and ranged from strokes, stomach perforation, heart attack, etc). Toward the end of his life I was told by one specialist I has strong medical intuition, which I discounted as being only for my husband. Never tried anything like applying that to anyone else and if asked about my thoughts on caseworking I'd probably have said it was luck or too non-specific. So, to be honest, I approached the first exercise in that with not much hope. I picked a girlfriend who I knew had issues with her knees and expected to check in on what the orthopedists were telling her. Expectations aside, my intuition zeroed in on her heart. I sat with that asking myself, where in /on /near the heart and what is going on there? and had a strong sense it was in the lower portion of the heart, most likely on the right side. Truthfully, I forgot all about it until the next day we were talking for the first time in a week and she told me she'd had a stress echocardiogram in preparation for knee surgery and she'd been surprised to learn that there was a problem in the lower part of her heart! Made a believer out of me and convinced me to continue working cases until I get to the count of 50.
