I work in Dubai UAE. Because of this pandemic, I was not able to visit my home Dad in Manila for 10 months. I work for an airline so I normally go home 4x a year, spending around 3-5 days on each stay. With flights opening up, I already scheduled a 3-week vacation in Jan 2021 to visit my Dad.
Thanks to this programme, I listened to that intuition to advance my trip. This happened when I was on my week 2 of Silva training. It's like I heard a voice saying advance your trip now. My only question was when. So I discussed with my husband who is not always very happy when I travel alone. But something magical happened - he agreed without so many questions. The next thing I did was asked my boss. I have not been gone for 3 weeks and with work at hand, I am eager to know if he would agree - and he did. So I am now set to travel Thu next week (12-Nov-2020). During shopping for my trip, I had an inclination to buy my Dad a new tablet. But with my husband's reasoning that we have to be smart with money resources, I gave in a did not buy one. A day before I travelled, there was a super typhoon expected to land in Manila. To cut the story short, my hometown was submerged by flood on the eve I was traveling.
The flight pushed through with a bit of delay and I landed in Manila on 12th evening. By the this, the water at home receded already. Onboard, I did the 3 scene technique and that was a powerful one. I could literally feel, smell, see what I was soooo afraid of. I cried profusely but toward the end, I had so much peace. The magical thing happened and it's really like God guided me all through out. As an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW), the government would allocate an accommodation upon our arrival while we wait for our PCR test results. - One area in the 3 scenes was that I would be housed in a decent place. I got a one bedroom apartment in a posh place in Alabang. -Another area in the 3 scenes was I would get my PCR test fast so I can go home faster too. I got my results literally the following day (normally OFWs get it after 3 nights, the lucky ones get it after 2 nights, I got mine after 1 night like the following day). - the last in the 3 scenes technique was seeing my Dad still up and about after the trauma of the flooding. He is 78 years old with arthritis. I arrived home with all the mess and found my Dad standing and just going about cleaning. I found 5 more people helping him at home! So that is all ticked marked. I also realized why I real reason why I needed to advance my trip. I could have given 101 reasons not to travel given the work, pandemic and family.
But I headed to the call and arrived in MNL when my Dad needed me the most. I wanted to believe my presence made the difference and my Dad was very happy I was there that time. It was a very fruitful (and tiring) trip that was necessary to do. People thought I came home because of the flood. I had to tell, I already planned to come that day, not knowing there will be a flood. People will normally cancel the vacation because of the flood. I realized, that was the reason why I needed to travel. And remember the tablet I wanted to buy that I didn't? All my Dad was able to salvaged was his mobile phone (that I used to contact him all through out the flooding) and the box where he keeps his money. He was very sad that he was not able to save his tablet. That's when I realized, I should really trust my intuition.
When The electricity restored, I was outside trying to sort out a pocket wifi I bought because I had to work. When I found out the electricity was back, the first thing I did was bought a Huwaiwe 10-inch tablet for Dad.
The joy in his face was soooooo great. And that sealed the deal for me. The entire 21-day stay in Manila was a great testament to the new intuative techniques I have unlocked. Until the day I left, God (Who is my source of higher power) just kept leading me to the right path. I trusted my gut and very thankful, and cognizant of people to help every time. I hope a find a Silva community in Dubai.
