"After 30 days of program I stopped using heroin and I never used it ever again"

Well it started out in the late 1960s when there were many people experimenting with mind-altering drugs: LSD, marijuana, various other ways to explore how the mind worked.  And I was one of those people who did that. But unlike most people experimenting with drugs I got caught up in the drugs so much that I ended up using heroin and for many years I was using heroin sometimes up to $200 a day. And it’s like being a slave. You have to have it everyday. I could not go to work unless I had the heroin in order to get through my working day. And if I did not take the heroin you know it makes you very sick. It makes you hurt very much and so you want to go out and get more heroin and so everyday for many years I would have to inject heroin just to feel normal. It wasn’t to get high. It was just so I could go to work and do my job.  Then I went to doctors, hospitals, clinics, psychiatrists, and I went asking, "Please help me to get off of heroin". And I spent several years going to various clinics and many people who did that did not get good results.  The doctors helped a few people, but 95 of every 100 who went through the drug clinics went back on drugs. I then saw an advertisement for Mind Control and I thought the word "Mind Control" sounded very unusual and I wasn’t sure I wanted to go to something with a strange name like that. But then I understood that it meant "self control",  not somebody controlling my mind, but me learning how to control my own mind and that sounded very appealing to me. So I took the Silva Mind Control course, and it was in 4 days. When I had finished the four days I had learned how to use my mind. So much control and so much power that over a 30-day period, one month, I was able to make changes deep in my mind so that the urge to want to use heroin disappeared. After 30 days I stopped using heroin and I never used it ever again, and it’s been 25 years now since I’ve used heroin.
