"I am part of this quest to rebuild my understanding of money and to break free of debt"

I am part of this quest to rebuild my understanding of money and to break free of debt. I had a great job for several years, but then my dad got very sick and I was laid off. At first I was a bit angry but it turned out to be a blessing as my dad was in need of full time care and it was very hard on my mom. Start to get part time work but then dad died. He was at home with us for over 21/2 years. Mom and I lived on our savings during this time concentrating on getting my dad better. After my dad died my mom fell very ill and I took care of her 6yr. Working part time getting laid off and subuquenty not able to get that good job in my career. Then my mom died and it all fell apart. Now I am a cashier working minimal wage with a hug debt. I am hoping that I finish this quest in a happier and healthier financial state. Well that is my story. I am sure all of us on this quest are here because we are looking for help. I truly hope we all find it.
