"I have a whole new appreciation for my body and all that it does for me"

Before this program, I was drawn to and fascinated with health and fitness for most of my adult life. My journey first began with working out as a means to feel better in my body and gain confidence. After many years of pushing my body and dealing with IBS, I realized that workouts were only part of the picture. I then really began implementing a better diet into my life. The "better diet" has progressed many times over the years mainly as a means to figure out my IBS symptoms. My fascination in the last three years has really been on the gut microbiome and its effect on the rest of the body. After dealing with infertility issues for many years, the connection between mind, body, and spirit really became apparent. While I tried to focus on each of these areas separately, I never really felt like I was able to tie them all together to really accomplish my own personal goals and also pursue my passion in helping other females accomplish similar goals. I enrolled in the Holobody Coaching program because I wanted a holistic approach to my health and goals. I had focused on each individually before, but I just felt like this program would tie everything together in a way that felt whole. After taking this certification, I have a whole new appreciation for my body and all that it does for me. I have learned so much about fitness, diet, and my spiritual journey, but really it has been the exercises in listening to my body that have changed my perspective in how I want to live my life. It is one thing to know what foods to eat and how to count the macros, it is an entirely different thing to have a feeling of respect for your body as to feel like you only want to fuel it with the best nutrition possible. I also appreciate from this course the understanding that life is not perfect and some days are going to be extremely challenging to even get some goals in. Prior to this course, I feel like I had more of a perfectionist mentality on health and fitness, but I leave this course knowing that health and fitness and goals themselves are a life long journey and that each day we learn more and more to make ourselves and life that much better.
