Before the Lifebook program I realized that I did not have clearly defined beliefs and a vision for my life. Through the course I discovered inconsistencies in what I thought I believed and how I lived. Really digging deep and being honest with myself by focusing on each category was so valuable. I have confidence to stick to my values, learn more and revise as needed. Some of my visions are ego based and need revising. I felt it important to look at it all, regardless of that. Finishing felt satisfying because I now have a practical foundation to create. The program allowed me to breakthrough some limiting outdated beliefs. Also I saw how I had not held myself accountable and often resorted to excuses for not doing my life work. The “why” section was the most transformative because I realized this was purpose. Now the work involves going deeper into each category and sifting until what really matters is clear. The clarity in the Emotional and Character sections that I gained has been transformative. I saw that I truly have the inner strength to manage my emotions and be of good character so that I can be who I truly am. Love in action. I can accept my humanity with compassion and not self sabotage.
The suggestion to become a subject expert was particularly helpful. Since retirement I was so scattered. The idea to find a favorite and dive deep was terrific. The overarching theme of personal responsibility also meant that I get to choose what interests me.
I printed out my Lifebook and refer to it most days. It helps me stay committed to be my best self. I revise as new insights occur. I am very grateful to Jon & Missy for having the courage to do their inner work and accept their responsibility to be wisdom teachers.
Thank you
