"Thanks for showing how much of an effect on our success our circle of friends has on us"

Before the Covid pandemic, I have been a remote worker for over a decade. While that has enabled me to be a stay-at-home dad while my wife traveled for work, it had a negative impact on my social network.

One of the key things I have learned through Lifebook is that it is possible to have both meaningful and productive friendships, and to find and build those as adults, and not to just rely on the haphazard creation of friends that was a function of where you grew up, or where you went to school, and who shared your major or one or two extracurricular interests. Of course, having the kind of person who listens, encourages, and helps connect friends with other helpful people and resources is not enough. Being that kind of person is also a major objective.

Thanks for showing how much of an effect on our success our circle of friends has on us.
