In the beginning I did not have high expectations for this mentoring program but that quickly changed as I realized that what was holding me back in life was the lack of clear vision in my life. I had been many times through goal-setting sessions and I had even completed in my past a goal-getters diary.
However, nothing really touched the vision of my life in such a structured way as the Lifebook.
Lifebook is all about addressing ALL the important aspects of life.
Usually, when we are in a goal-setting session we focus on long-term goals and split them into shorter, more tangible goals which are supposed to lead to the bigger goal. In this process we struggle on the smaller goals and usually lose the bigger goal. Even having the bigger goals in mind, they are usually single-focused, such as financial abundance or carreer advances.
What I had not realized until I participated in Lifebook is that all 12 categories described in the Lifebook are equally important and interconnected. What is the meaning of making more money and buying a new house if the emotional part of life is wrecked and the social life is full of meaningless friends?
Lifebook gives equal focus to all categories and it is only through the mastery of all of them that quality of life can be improved.
With Lifebook I had the opportunity to write in six weeks a clear 160 pages (!) vision of my life (ok it includes pictures as well) and focus my life on what is written in it. Before the Lifebook journey I was on auto-pilot, I was sailing on the sea like a sailboat with its sails down. Now I have my sails fully blown on the mast and guess what: I already knew how to sail, I just didn't have my sails up, what a realization!
