"I'm hoping to become consistent in my personal life upon completing this quest"

Two years ago, I took the 6 Phases of meditation. I found the meditation technique to be very useful and better suited to gaining progress in my personal life as opposed to the transcendental meditation practice that I've followed for nearly 40 years since learning about meditation in college. The problem I have is with consistency in my personal life. I start things but let setbacks veer me off course. For example, for the past five years I've attempted long distance biking to improve my health. I'd had substituted my bike for my daily commute and would go for nice rides of 15-20 miles once a week. But injuries, which at my age take longer to recover from would set me back for months, and the frustration of trying to get back to the level I was at would result in more injuries that would derail me even further. Two years ago I decided to study quantum physics. Great start at the beginning, but now I just read articles that appear in my google news feed. Years ago, my brother found this incredible violin. I began re tutoring myself hoping to achieve the level of proficiency I had in college. I'd get good at etudes and other practice pieces and then just stop. You see where I'm going with this, I suffer terribly from procrastination in my personal life and my growth has stopped. My close friends feel that losing my wife 20 years ago has cause me to stop being alive. I disagree but do admit to being content with being single and happy to have the dear friends that I have. I do feel blissful in the work I do. I am a Search and Rescue specialist and all aspects of the job I take great joy in the things that we do as a team on a daily basis. I'm hoping to become consistent in my personal life upon completing this quest.
