My Awakening: My journey has been one of slow growth where I often allowed "life" to happen to me. I sit here during the quarantine and realize that I have not been fulfilled and have missed many opportunities due to preconceived notions or lack of confidence and have lived on my past positive experiences (a great high school experience and flying for the Navy). Since my retirement from the Navy, I have focused on being a good father to my tween daughter and not much else. The quarantine has allowed me the time to sit back and look inside. I am truly blessed to where I am in life, the job I have, the life I've led, but there is something missing. And that is why I started this course, I am seizing the opportunity to grow and lead a life of fulfillment.
