"I want to improve my overall health"

I thought I was a healthy 64-year-old but 8 months ago I experienced an ischemic stroke. I was fortunate that I was able to get help early and in a matter of 3 hours, doctors were able to reverse the symptoms that I was experiencing and I have no visible side effects of the stroke. Because there were no prior indicators of a problem, I have been going through many tests and procedures to find out why this happened. I am also required to take many medications, one which is supposed to control high blood pressure. Since retiring, I have lost and maintained a 20-pound weight loss but I still need to lose another 20 to 25 pounds in hopes of bringing my blood pressure down without drugs. I want to be able to do this without the fad diets that are impossible to maintain. I want to improve my overall health.
