"The greatest breakthrough for me has been discovering techniques to cope with my deep-rooted trauma through Somatic Therapy"
I was born an optimist and have always known intrinsically that I possess strong skills to cope with life’s challenges.
In 2011, a major traumatic experience occurred within my midwifery career. Eventually, I surrendered to what was, and new doors opened, leading me onto a profound spiritual path with a powerful desire to evolve and grow.
In 2017, I became an Angelic Usui Reiki Master. I have my own business Angel Therapy.
My husband David and I attended and assisted on courses and retreats together, including Breath of Life, Who Am I, The Yamas & Niyamas, Forgiveness, as well as leading Care & Share groups and weekly relaxation sessions. David embraced the daily rituals and practices alongside me. Together, we hoped to further develop our teaching and eventually host retreats within our own home.
Tragically, my soulmate and husband of almost 34 years, David, took his life in February 2025. It was completely unexpected, out of character, and a devastating shock to myself and our family. Paranoia had led to medication which almost instantly caused hallucinations. I found him, called the emergency services, and he was resuscitated and airlifted to critical care before being placed on life support. He was pronounced brain stem dead after 72 hours, we gave permission for his organs to be donated. Those organs are now helping to save and improve the lives of three people.
Although I was surrounded by support from family and friends, I knew that to continue my path as a light worker and be able to help others in a meaningful way, I needed deeper spiritual support and guidance from God, the Universe, and spiritual teachers.
Family dynamics became increasingly unstable. A misunderstanding with my sister at the end of November resulted in a loss of contact with her, my brother-in-law, and niece. My husband’s brother was also becoming increasingly depressed, adding further emotional strain within the family.
The Universe guided me towards the Mindvalley Mastery programme, and I have given gratitude every day since beginning this amazing journey.
One of my greatest victories has been my commitment to daily healing rituals and practices, which I now enjoy for 2–3 hours each day. Through the support and wisdom shared by Marie, Lee, Dawn, and our Eastern Masters, I have learned many powerful techniques that are now essential to my wellbeing and emotional resilience.
Using the Feng shui techniques taught, my home has become a cleansed, peaceful, and welcoming environment. Asking the lofty questions, has attracted abundance, soul friends and loving relationships with my daughters. I have learned to surrender fears and blockages when necessary, allowing myself to move through bereavement with greater compassion and awareness. I especially enjoy practising Qi Gong barefoot on the lawn, reconnecting with nature and grounding myself each day.
Another important victory has been my ability to support my daughters and receptive family members using the healing tools and practices I have learned.
Perhaps the greatest breakthrough for me has been discovering techniques to cope with my deep-rooted trauma through Somatic Therapy, inspired by the work of Dr Peter Levine and Sheleana Aiyana. These practices have become life-changing for me, and I now feel able to share them with others experiencing similar struggles and grief.
Through the teachings of Neale Donald Walsch, I have embraced the understanding that I am a co-creator of the Universe and my own destiny. Michael Beckwith’s recent session also gave me a profound breakthrough in learning to witness sadness. I know I have been avoiding feeling sad. To pendulate towards loving joy, I then demanded that the Universe brought me happy memories. Ten minutes later, a friend shared photographs from Jersey, transporting me back emotionally and spiritually to 1990 — the year before David and I married. I vividly remembered us as young lovers walking hand in hand along the beach at St Helier. 465 days after David’s death, I cried deeply and fully for the first time. Although painful, this felt like an important step in my healing journey and a significant personal victory.
Today, despite profound loss and trauma, I continue to move forward with gratitude, spiritual connection, compassion, and a sincere desire to help others who have lost a loved one to suicide. I can help them heal through the wisdom and practices that I have learned from this wonderful spiritual mastery course.
Thank you
