Before this program, I had no idea what works on social media. I had never posted a video on Tiktok and was also afraid of posting as I had a belief that no one will watch my videos. I believed virality was based on luck and not meant for me. I did know though that I can speak and have a story to tell so I started posting random videos on Facebook but these were fed to my personal friends.
During the program, I first learnt about formats. I am naturally a person of structure and come from an accounting and auditing background. I am a Chartered account as well and have been trained around compliance and standards. So when I heard about formats and structure it started to excite me as this was my language so to speak.
The program showed me stories of how people have grown from as little as 200 views to millions of views. Ordinary people who where willing to show up authentically and also follow formats and structures that work. The research was already done and I needed to learn and adapt. I started posting with a format I chose. I started to understand formats and also started watching content even movies with an eye to identify formats and performance drivers. I implemented my learnings and got regular feedback on my content inside the program. A community of like minded people was created which is what you always get from any Mindvalley mastery. This spoke to what I learnt from one of my favourite books called Think and Grow Rich regarding creating a mastermind group.
Social media started becoming a language that I could speak and my videos on TikTok and Instagram began. I started with 30 views on these platforms. But I was not attached to the views. I was focused on becoming familiar with the process and building that muscle which was further supported by the course presenters in terms of their feedback and the community. One of my videos received 9400 views on Tiktok a few weeks back and I now average 1000 views per video. This for me is huge if I look at what my baseline was before the program.
After the program: I now have a self belief that people want to listen to me and I have knowledge of AI tools that I did not know existed.
This program has shown me that the only blockage to my story is what I believe about myself. The program is what you make of it. If you enter any program believing that the program will change you, then do not enter the program. Understand who you are and what your own inner voice is saying to you and determine if its consistent with what you want to achieve. Change the dialogue of that inner voice to support your gaols because it is that inner voice that is what determines if the program will work for you or not.
