This is my first day into the Mindvalley Silva Training Program, and I am very excited to be doing this! At the age of 6, we had a neighbor who was learning how to hypnotize others. He would practice on the children in the neighborhood, and I was curious enough to trust him. What I find interesting, is even back then, if I didn't believe the thought he was attempting to install, I fully rejected the thought and told myself that that isn't true. So what I know now, is that the programming from my parents was more powerful at that time than the new programming this man was experimenting with to program any willing subject. His hypnosis from what I remember were about being smart, beautiful, and other positive things - and I remember seriously thinking that it was not true!!! My parents had an image of what they thought I should be like, and I discredited what a stranger thought I should be. Crazy - at the age of 6 we do this. By the time I was 18, I was very interested in hypnosis and tried to get my hands on any books that I could about that topic. So he did influence me after all. But Transendental Meditation came to our town, and I learned that technique. TM served me well - it helped with getting great grades, problems were easily solved, knowing what to do came naturally, and above all - I was happy and peaceful!!!! But I went to University and shared a dormitory room and met other friends, and the whole habit of TM went out the door. At the age of 30, and going through a divorce, I started my next stage of 30 years of personal growth programs. It included: The Healing Codes, Theta Healing, Silva Method, deeper levels of hypnosis and brain training, the whole T. Harv Eker shabang program, and others. Many of these I became certified to lead.
And here I am, almost doing the full circle coming back to the Silva Method. So why am I back with the Silva Method? Firstly, it is to go to another level at this time in my life. At a person in my 60's; I desire to live this next stage at the healthiest possible level, to remove some of the negativity and jaddedness acquired from some past life experiences, to reach a potential that I never knew existed, to forgive those that I haven't been able to, to be deeply grateful for all things, to contribute to making this planet a beautiful place, and to explore a higher level of purpose. Plus, there is still time for me to be "me" - not defined by others. Time to "bring it on!". I am thankful to be here with all of you, thankful that this Silva Method program is here right now, and thankful to have this opportunity to say I love you.
