I want to learn more to become an even better coach and person!

Becoming a life coach is something I have wanted to do for a few years. Raising three kids and helping them through their life choices and surviving some significant life experiences, I knew I had something to share. I knew I could help others, but I didn’t really know the right approach. I talked with friends and family about the idea and received no support, so all of this was just filed away as a thought…
One of my major life experiences was surviving prostate cancer. In January 2022 my cancer returned but in greater force. I knew I had some recovery time ahead and a whole slew of new life experiences were on their way. I revisited the idea of becoming a coach. This time I did not consult with family or friends, I just did it! I had joined Mindvalley during the pandemic and been through several Quests. I really liked the way the courses were developed and knew I would get a quality life coaching program!
The Mindvalley Life Coach Certification program has helped me in so many ways. I have always been empathetic and a good listener. However, this program taught me to be an even better listener. Listen to what people are saying “between the lines”. I learned how to ask questions that would help the person I am coaching to dive deeper into what they were working on so they could have that breakthrough or “aha moment”. These are skills I can use in everyday life as well. In this program, we are coaching, being coached, and observing the coaching experience. All of these are necessary to become the best coach one can be. And… the coaching I received has helped me through some difficult situations and helped clarify some of my goals.
The community or ”tribe” of fellow coaches I learned and grew with, will be a resource for the rest of my life. I am ready to be the coach I have always wanted to be. I have confidence that I can (and will) help so many people. This program was just the beginning. I want to learn more to become an even better coach and person.
