Before this program I was a deep over thinker and could get stuck in a negative spiral from one bad day or experience. I was sensitive to criticism or disrespectful behaviour from toxic people and on some days that would really bring me down. I let other peoples' projected insecurities dim my light and even questioned my own abilities, self belief and doubted my inner guidance.
I have always been an active listener and had a desire to help or guide people and felt a genuine inner joy when I have seen their achievements further on, down the road. I was always fascinated by people who were life coaches or had a weekly coach but I believed it was a luxury for powerful CEOs, MDs or successful entrepreneurs with excess liquidity.
After completing the life coach certification, I understand how to organise my thoughts and not let a negative person make me question my capabilities or one bad day ruin my mood and question my capabilities. I focus on being present with my friends, colleagues and clients and do my best to connect with people and make them feel seen and heard.
I understand the power of meditation and Vishen's six steps help me focus my mind and elevate my thoughts. I am able to read energy and understand situations and people from a number of different perspective. The reason I enrolled in this course was to have lifetime access to the material I needed to coach myself, in addition to the understanding of how to connect with others, help them rewire their subconscious and open their mind to achieving their dreams and living in tune with their authentic inner self.
I would recommend this course to people who question their purpose, who feel empty and numb from years of being a corporate slave, who wonder what else there is to life or need to respark their inner flame and keep believing in their dreams. I had the pleasure of meeting and bonding with an international community who were brought together by similar growth mindsets. I had huge 'AHA' moments in one coaching lab as a Spanish lady used strategic powerful questions, pushing me to go deeper, connect my gifts, realise my life's purpose and visualise my dream.
In another coaching lab an American lady highlighted that she felt I'd become stagnant, I needed to travel and explore the world more, she told me I was spending too much time in my apartment and was letting my fear of the unknown hinder me from new experiences and growth. I was delighted to share with her in our next coaching session that I had taken her comments on board and had booked myself a week in Europe and was enjoying every minute. Additionally through the community I connected with a lovely Swedish lady and we shared life experiences and similar childhod traumas. We took it turn coaching each other, offering advice and stay in touch through whatsapp.
One of my key takeaways is to not feel restricted by societal norms, 'Your dreams shouldn't be realistic. Dont let your fear or other peoples' opinion hold you back. If Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King and Steve Jobs had kept their dreams 'realistic' the world would be a different place than it is today. And never take advice from people who havnt been where you want to go. Their opinion is not a fact, it is just another person's point of view.'
Thank you team for opening my mind and remembering to stop, take a breath and listen to the whispers of my soul...
