“I’ve seen greater therapeutic depth, improved patient engagement, and increased success rates”

With over 16 years of experience as a registered nurse, including more than a decade in the Intensive Care Unit, I bring deep clinical expertise and a nuanced understanding of the intersection between physical and mental health. My transition into Behavioral Health, as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, reflects a commitment to holistic, integrative, and decolonized care that honors each individual’s cultural, ecological, and psychological context. I practice from a culturally humble, identity-affirming framework and proudly serve BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities, guided by the belief that there are no noncompliant patients—only providers who must adapt with greater attunement and skill.
I completed the Mindvalley Hypnotherapy Certification to expand my therapeutic toolkit and deepen my ability to facilitate meaningful, embodied change. My goal was to integrate evidence-informed subconscious and somatic techniques into clinical practice to enhance engagement, agency, and treatment outcomes—particularly for patients whose progress is limited by trauma, conditioned beliefs, or nervous system dysregulation.
My top three takeaways from this Quest include:
A deeper understanding of how subconscious patterning influences behavior, symptom persistence, and treatment resistance.
Practical hypnotherapeutic techniques that support nervous system regulation, cognitive flexibility, and internal resource building.
Increased confidence in guiding patients through experiential interventions that complement traditional therapeutic modalities.
The most significant positive changes I’ve noticed include greater therapeutic depth, improved patient engagement, and increased success rates through more personalized and meaningful clinical experiences. This training has equipped me with additional tools to support sustainable healing, empower patients in their own growth, and continue delivering high-quality, compassionate, and integrative mental health care.
