I enrolled in the Certified Business Coach programme because after 25 years of owning and operating my own business I wanted to consolidate my experience and knowledge into a business coaching programme and wasn't really sure what that needed to look like.
CBC was really well structured, starting with teaching us how to have a coaching conversation before moving to the consulting modules.
The value in the programme is the coaching labs which are held every week. This is an opportunity to practice what you've been learning. You're also encouraged to do practice coaching sessions outside of the labs so you get comfortable with what you're learning. Our group actively connected and held sessions with each other outside of the labs.
My biggest takeaways from the programme are: 1. create a structure for your coaching conversations; 2. remain curious and ask more questions rather than look to provide solutions; 3. connect with people, be yourself and offer your coaching services (don't over complicate it).
