I have been a Registered Nurse for more than two decades. Only a few years in to my career, I recognized how profoundly conventional medicine frequently fails people and falls short in addressing chronic disease and anything not overtly "diagnosable". I spent the majority of my career educating patients and staff in looking at the body and its systems more wholistically yet rarely felt like I was making enough impact. I dabbled in Oriental Medicine, Ayurveda, Naturopathy and several other modalities, continually trying to integrate them into what I understood about human physiology and psychology. When I was introduced to Functional Medicine, all the parts came into focus. As FM addresses the core, root causes of dis-ease, yet uses biochemistry and established science to understand the dynamics at play, it most importantly take a personal approach to each individual case. While I KNOW that this is the future of healthcare, I also know that making an impact in a 1:1 relationship barely scratches the surface of what needs to be done. So I set out to find tools that would help me make an impact on an organizational level. I put it out into the universe and Mindvalley answered. The CBC program has been the perfect hybrid for helping me really nail down the finer points of effective coaching AND preparing me for having bigger conversations with organizations.
My mission is to help reach schools, businesses and ultimately the bigger players in the American healthcare system to bring attention to the areas in which we are falling short and the pivots that can be made to truly address the root causes of our health and healthcare crisis. I have asked myself many times over the years a variation of the "but who am I to take this on?" question. The CBC program galvanized my understanding that the very fact that I WANT to means that I MUST. The beautiful souls and the offerings in the Mindvalley and Evercoach platforms changed who I am. Changed my perspective, provided clear focus, personal insights and a resonance with doing the work. I believe that you know the truth when you hear it - it just vibrates at a familiar frequency - and that was my experience with this program. I am now ALIGNED. Thank you ALL!
