I went into Certified Business Coach, hoping to become a better executive leader. Our organization was going through a lot of transition, and I was eager to find new tools and ideas to help navigate what seemed like a steady stream of challenges. From the program's start, I could already see my perspectives changing--I suddenly felt unstuck and quickly began to show up differently in meetings. The questions I asked became more precise, my ability to think more strategically became stronger, and I became a better listener. Even my co-workers felt compelled to compliment me on my new insights and contributions.
What surprised me in those early weeks, and what I didn't expect, was how I became a more attuned partner to my spouse, a more present parent, and an all-around more empathetic and compassionate person fully committed to continuous growth and learning. The ripple effect of this program was powerful!
I also didn't expect to discover a calling to become a Coach.
I discovered an untapped passion for serving others through coaching and helping other leaders make better, stronger, more empowered decisions and feel more confident in their ability to break through to their next big level.
Now, a few months later, I am about to launch a coaching business. My life seems far more purposeful than it did 16 weeks ago, and I feel like my journey toward something genuinely remarkable is underway.
